SoTrumpBelieve Must See Movie...
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Zandra The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Horst in Translation (filmreviews@web.de) "Duet" is a 2014 animated short film and actually pretty short at under 4 minutes. It was made by American Glen Keane, a man with tons of experience in the animation genre as he has been working in the industry for decades. And even if he did not succeed with the Oscar nomination ("only" the Annie nomination), he still made a pretty decent little movie. it lives more through atmosphere than through telling a great story even if there is a nice romantic touch to it. I liked the music as well and also the very blue approach Keane gave it (in terms of color, not of atmosphere) and all in all, it is working out pretty nicely. There is no real greatness in here, but I enjoyed the watch and I recommend it. Thumbs up for "Duet".
Steve Pulaski Glen Keane's Duet works for the most part thanks to its kinetic energy and everything in it to move and operate with a graceful fluidity, almost effectively making this short dreamlike. Produced as part of Google's Spotlight Stories, the short consists of two young characters, a boy and a girl, who enjoy dancing and allowing themselves to be lost in the motions of their body, with their world consisting of white outlines representing characters, objects, and locations all encompassed in a midnight blue palette. The whimsical factor in Duet is quite high, and at four minutes, there's little to note other than it's a serviceable short that at least manages to halfway mesmerize thanks to its ability to always have something constantly moving and a static, single-color background.Directed by: Glen Keane.
Rectangular_businessman A very cute and charming short from Glen Keane, an animator mostly know for his work on Disney's films (Such as The Beauty and the Beast and Tangled) Now, while the plot isn't particularly complex or deep, it is very enjoyable to watch from beginning to end due its pleasant animation style and nice use of music. There isn't very much else I could say about this: If it is just a sweet love story without any form of cynicism and bitterness, showing an extremely idealized vision of romance which is pretty common in media, but which has an undeniable magic...Mostly thanks to its gorgeous visuals.8.5/10
Hellmant 'DUET': Two and a Half Stars (Out of Five)A 4 minute animated short film (featured in theaters as a 'Highly Commended' animated short; played with the '2015 Oscar Nominated Animated Short Films'). It was directed by Glen Keane and tells the story of a couple, named Mia and Tosh, who perform a beautiful 'life dance' together; the 'duet' of the title. There's no real story or character development in it, but it is always beautiful and somewhat interesting to look at. Nothing too special but I'm sure fans of animation, dancing or Glen Keane, will still enjoy it. It's probably my least favorite of the 2015 'highly commended' or 'Oscar nominated' animated shorts though.Watch our movie review show 'MOVIE TALK' at: http://youtu.be/D17O2xOoOCw
