GazerRise Fantastic!
Chirphymium It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Rio Hayward All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Michael_Elliott Dancing Boxing Match, Montgomery and Stone (1907)Vaudeville actors Montgomery and Stone appear in this film where they basically hit each other a couple times. This films only runs for a couple seconds so I'm going to guess that the ending of the picture is currently lost. A lot of these films only ran a minute or less but I've never seen one from this period only last a few seconds. With that in mind it's impossible to fully judge this but I will say it might be a good thing that its not complete because nothing we do see in the few seconds are very funny. With so many lost films out there, it's hard to imagine people searching vaults for what is missing here.
JoeytheBrit IMDb gives the running time for this movie as one minute, and perhaps it was that long back in 1907, but it appears that only a brief few seconds of the film remain in existence today. Montgomery and Stone were presumably some kind of vaudeville act. Both men are fully dressed but wear boxing gloves. In the brief clip that can be seen on the internet one of the guys falls to the ground then acrobatically jumps back to his feet and turns to face his opponent. As Michael Elliott so rightly put it, this film really isn't long enough to form an opinion about, but I'm going to give it an 'average' score of six because it has managed to survive so long. Well done to it.
MrCritical1 Very short vaudeville film from the well-known team of Montgomery and Stone. Besides the amazing acrobatic shoulder roll that propels the boxer back to his feet the film is way too short to form a real opinion.4* (10* Rating System)
