Smartorhypo Highly Overrated But Still Good

Acensbart Excellent but underrated film

Curapedi I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

Michael Ledo The film starts out with a funeral, followed by four of his buddies having a drink and smoking a doobie. Zach (Michael Pitt) is a portfolio manager and is engaged to Janie (Morgan Wolk). Noah (Dan Stevens) was the class geek. He was bullied and is still a bit socially awkward. Bryce (Rob Brown) has a hot stock tip. And Warren (Christopher Abbott) rounds out the foursome.It starts out innocent enough as Noah was able to come up with the money for our foursome to invest in Bidexco stock. As fate would have it the stock fails. Noah borrowed the money from the mob and Eddie (John Travolta) wants his money with interest. Clearly our guys don't have the money, so they reluctantly agree to kidnap Marques (Edi Gathegi) for Eddie so he can exchange for his kidnapped niece.The film flows in a dark, quirky and sometimes twisty manner. Then at the very end the film twists in multiple ways which frankly I didn't see coming.Travolta looked like he is using Botox and his hair looked like it was plastic. Good crime/drama/thriller with some dark humor.Guide: F-bomb, sex, nudity (Morgan Wolk)

adam-64905 Once again, everyone is comparing a low budget flick to mega Hollywood films. While this film does feature John Travolta, it's obvious that they just used his name to get the audience's interest. But don't let that dissuade you from watching it. All the acting from the lesser-known actors is still very good, and in fact, might actually even be better. Travolta plays your typical mob boss, but the guys involved are anything but your mob underlings. It's a formula I've seen before, but the twist later on in the film gives it a unique twist that made it worthwhile. Even if stuff didn't make sense during the film, it came together at the end. It's nothing that will rock your world, but it was enjoyable enough for an hour and a half.

The word 'F*ck' can be heard 70.000 times during this film also John Travolta needs to stop being in movies it's sad now the worst thing about this film is Dan Stevens that by the end of the film they tried to give him a bigger plot twist and background but the movie is do dumb and hilarious in a bad way and when there's no plot you just don't care at all. Also Michael Pitt was another character that nobody could feel anything for his character or anyone else on this story. Jackie Earle Haley actually directed the film and co- starred as well and i really feel bad for him also cause he was in Nightmare on Elm Street as well and you know what that film turned out to be.

slage-71262 The end could be better if it takes sometime to describe the strategy better.John is fine as last years of his career, but the director should explore his talent a bit more.I expected a longer action in this movies.]But it is fine if you just want to see some actors making the best they could.As I commented before, some more know actors would improve this move performance, once there is a good role play behind.thanks for the opportunity of watching it based on IMDb comments.
