Griff Lees Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

Brenda The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

midtra52 I know it may sound crazy, but I thought this was one of the best comedies I've seen. I don't see how there's not more of an interest in this movie to be honest.Well the movie definitely plays of Rob Schneider's fear of anal rape, which makes for a hilarious setup. The interactions between Schneider and "the master" are hilarious. David Carradine can really do about anything. He was incredible in Kill Bill and he plays this part perfectly as well.All I can say is if you watch this movie and don't laugh you might need to get your sense of humor checked out. That or you're too young and you shouldn't be watching it anyway!

Nemanja Cosovic I don't know how this movie went under the radar but I'm glad I watched it just now.I thought Rob Schnider was finished after the Animal, that movie was just wasn't good. It had some good skits, but that was all.This movie features two actors I truly like Jennifer Morrison and David Carradine. And they were pretty damn good in this one.You can see when a movie has a heart, it cant be faked with CGI and awesome shots, it just has that something, an X factor I guess.My standards are for movie not to be stupid or insulting to the viewer (like many are unfortunately), and I figure, by now, I can spot what is a movie worth watching. This one, most definitely is.On the side note, best comedy prison movie is Mean Machine (UK movie), this one ranks number 2.

Jackpollins From start to finish, the new comedy Big Stan is way more original than most movies out there. Surprisingly, this great comedy actually stars Rob Schneider, who in this, is surprisingly hilarious. He plays Stan, a time share worker who gets arrested for fraud. Instead of automatically sending him to prison, the court gives him six months before serving a minimum of three years. He is afraid of being sexually molested in prison so in order to learn how to protect himself, he enlists the help of The Master (David Carradine), a professional kung fu fighter. Enter Stan in prison. The head of the prison is trying to build a place to do business with, and enlists the help of Stan. If Stan does that, he gets out after a year. Stan becomes the role model of the prison. If he says there shall be no violence, everyone agrees there shall be no violence. Rob Schneider is greatly natural in his role. Unlike with a lot of Schneider's previous roles, he doesn't go too over the top. Instead he is as calm and funny as ever. This movie thoroughly earns all the big laughs it gets. It is a perfect parody showing how ludicrous these prison films are. This is a great comedy definitely worth checking out if you have any sense of humor.

LewisDre4m I have to say I actually love this movie so much! Just like Benchwarmers also staring Rob Snider I find my self able to watch this film over and over and over again non stop!The shame of it all I guess is many like myself would never have heard of this film if it wasn't for some film fanatic who seems to know about every film. I have to this day never seen an ad or internet ad or poster about this film. Was only on the off chance that a friend showed it too me that I saw it.It's a good bit of fun with a somewhat silly but interesting story line. It's like no other film I have seen. And I guarantee you will like it!Its a great film and one of my favourites.
