An arsonist is on the loose in Bamberg. When a camper van explodes, it becomes clear that the perpetrator is willing to kill. A man dies immediately, a young woman survives with severe burns. She is the daughter of the mayoress. The desperate mother puts pressure on the police: Inspector Behringer and his team are to hunt down the arsonist.
