Hellen I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
SunnyHello Nice effects though.
Casey Duggan It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny
Nayan Gough A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
h_wilson92 This is the first John Waters movie I have seen and I wasn't surprised when I watched all the things that happened in the movie because I have heard what nasty things can happen in his movies.I must day this is by far the most weirdest movie I have ever seen.It will be very hard to find another movie that tops this. This is a typical John Waters movie.I managed to find the uncut NC-17 rated version and I must say don't watch this movie unless its the NC-17 version. This movie was really nasty and really funny. It made me laugh non stop from start to finish.I got told don't watch this movie but I had to see what all the fuss was about it. Don't watch this movie if you get easily offended or faint hearted cos there is a lot of stuff that is in this movie that offends and disturbs people. This is not for children only for adults. My mom saw this movie on TV a few years ago and she said it was a movie that is really bad but it isn't a bad movie.John Waters definitely has a very twisted mind and he can put in a lot of crazy stuff into a 90 minute movie.I don't think there was a second of this movie where it wasn't crazy.10/10 is my rating
petropolisy Well if you read the reviews or have never heard of the film or can not find it then you may know of self censorship any film that breaks rules should be seen, it is not likely to change your ideas for that you need thousands of films that project the same program. I have written a much longer reviews but I censored it, it contained ideas that were subversive. This is Waters best work but will not pass the censors. This review was not long enough to pass the censors here go see it or download it from a site like torlock this is still not long enough so here are more lines, do not believe all those lies just believe what you see with your eyes and not movies
dwpollar Over-the-top sex farce by John Waters is funny throughout the first half of the movie but loses the story and just uses sex pranks and disgusting stuff to fill up the last half. I expect to be offended when I see a Waters movie but the story has to be complete for any movie to be recommended by me and this one wasn't. The story is basically about a sexually repressed woman, played by Tracey Ullman, who gets an accidental concussion that turns her into a sex addict. She finds out that there are others and they are led by a character named Ray Ray(a sexual healer) played by Johnny Knoxville of Jackass fame. They lay in religious parallels like Ullman's character being the 12th apostle who's is supposed to bring them a new sex act to bring them to a glorious climax. Other religious stuff like putting down the 12 step program didn't set well with me. She gets knocked on the head again and brought back to her normal("neuter") self and this happens to other characters as well but then she gets brought back by another knock which is kind of strange. The group break up a sex addicts anonymous meeting and take over and this is where I kind of stopped liking the movie. They pretty much take over the area at this point and can't be stopped. Waters then throws in everything imaginable and it stops being funny. Definitely this is a revealing movie, but a little too over-the-top for my tastes. It's a dirty shame because if the story didn't fall apart it would have been a funny and worth-while movie experience despite it's many vulgarities.
Michael_Elliott A Dirty Shame (2004) * (out of 4) John Waters latest film has a woman (Tracey Ullman) being wacked on the head and turning into a sex addict. Waters can be very funny in some films but this isn't one and them and this is certainly the worst I've seen from him. Waters tries hard to recapture his early days but fails on all levels because the film isn't shocking and is fairly tame. The NC-17 rating and the films weakness comes from dirty language, which gets tiresome after the first ten minutes. You can tell Waters is trying hard to recapture his early days but all the humor comes off very forced and weak.
