This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties.

This movie is about the main character Gwen going to rehab for alcoholism and drug addiction after crashing a car while drunk. While at rehab she goes on a journey f recovery and redemption to overcome her addiction. I believe that it's a heartwarming movie that aimed to show what addiction really is, the good and the bad. It shows how difficult it is to come back from this disease and how therapy and others can really make a difference. It depressing at times seeing the main character struggle, but I appreciate that its realistic. Other people in the facility treated Gwen as having special treatment at first, because she used while in recovery and they let her stay which could get you kicked out of rehab. They were negative to her in therapy but become supportive and positive to her treatment near the end. Also her boyfriend Jasper made going to rehab sound like a joke, he didn't take her addiction as a real problem and tried to get her to use again. This was negative in her treatment as she tempted her with alcohol, causing her to end the relationship. I recommend this movie to anyone with an open mind, especially young people in a health class just learning about addiction as this is very truthful.

This is an appeal for assistance. When we watched "28 Days" recently, we had the strong sensation that we had seen it before but with a different cast. Has it been remade? If so as what? And where? Thank you!Writing a review isn't easy. Spoiler alert!? Scenes at the beginning and end were particularly striking as being virtually identical. As the story unfolded early on, we asked each other, "Haven't we seen this before?" "Yes," we said, "but Sandra Bullock wasn't in it." We would definitely would remember her!" "And wasn't her character blonde in the version we saw before?" Well, maybe that point is a little less clear.I have spent hours looking through listings of films about rehab. Other search strategies have driven me crazy with irrelevant results. Please help!

Last movie I discussed with son before he Huffed after school and got into his car and had a accident. Last movie we watched together. Laughed and discussed what drug abuse does but a 16 year old just does not think life won't stop. But it does. Great performance by Sandra and crew. I knew there was something going on with him and I thought him seeing this in a comedy- drama side he would relate. We loved the movie. The part of rejection, heartache, and love was what parents and teens need to talk about. Life is hard for all and everyone can fall but we can all get up and get back on track. and this movie showed this. One I will never forget.

Gwen Cummings (Sandra Bullock) is a mess. She crashes the limo ruining her sister Lily (Elizabeth Perkins)'s wedding reception. She's forced into rehab for 28 days. Her boyfriend Jasper (Dominic West) is an enabler and smuggle drugs into rehab. The treatment center is full of eccentric addicts run by Cornell (Steve Buscemi). The eccentrics have their moments. Parts of it is dark. It's tone gets uneven and changes a lot. The good part is Sandra Bullock. She has an innate charm and likability which makes all her craziness very cute. Her vulnerability seems raw and real. It's probably pretty accurate about rehab with an added splash of comedy. It's better and more serious than what's in the trailer.
